: “The State Duma counts on an intensification of parliamentary contacts with the USA and waits for new
delegations of Congressmen and Senators anytime. We don’t have any specific
information.
I hope that mutual visits of parliamentarians will become more private and assessments of discussed issues more objective. Russian parliamentarians have not received official invitation to visit Washington yet. It can become more clear in autumn.
From our part, we are ready to receive American
parliamentary delegations at any level
and anytime and to work on drawing together our positions that sometimes can
differ a lot”.
Earlier the Russian ambassador in the USA Anatoly Antonov informed that a new
visit of US Congressmen to Russia is being planned.
