Viacheslav Volodin will take part in the Third Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments

Vyacheslav Victorovich The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast) to Antalya will take place on October 7–9. On October 9 he will take part in the Third Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments. The main topic of the event is “Economic Cooperation, Environment and Sustainable Development in Eurasia”. The delegations from 41 countries of the world will attend the meeting.

The State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea were the initiators of the format of the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments in 2016. 

The growing number of participants in the Meeting proves the relevance of this unique format, gathering heads of parliaments from all over the Eurasian continent.

During the visit, Viacheslav Volodin will also hold several bilateral meetings with the heads of parliaments. The parties will discuss issues of bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation, including within the framework of existing inter-parliamentary commissions, the relevant committees of chambers of parliaments, as well as prospects for cooperation on inter-parliamentary platforms.
