recalled that a court in Istanbul acknowledged that she has been kidnapped and convicted the kidnapper, a Turkish citizen.
“However, despite the fact that there is a court’s decision, she still cannot
be returned to her mother in Russia,” the State Duma Chairman said. He
indicated that the girl is a citizen of the Russian Federation.
“We believe that if there is a court decision, it must be enforced,” said Viacheslav Volodin. “We should always help people when it is possible,” he stressed.

The Istanbul court in 2012 acknowledged the abduction of Aydemir Aileen Sufia by a Turkish citizen. Up to present, she cannot return to her mother in Russia, to the motherland.
