Aleksei Chepa called US anti-Russian sanctions an element of information war

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs noted that Washington is preparing for a new presidential election. Local politicians will begin to use Russophobic sentiments again. As a result, Congress will announce new sanctions against Russia, because the American president Donald Trump allegedly could not do this. “In the USA there is an “internal interest” in casting Russia’s image as an enemy,” said Aleksei Chepa

Aleksei Chepa believes that Russia will be involved in a new round of information war, which will be caused by the need of the Americans to arrange domestic political fuss.

However, anti-Russian sanctions hit the West itself. Besides, they impede the current situation related to the pandemic of the Chinese coronavirus, the parliamentarian emphasized.

He also added that no state is interested in having COVID-19 spread around the planet. But sanctions hinder the fight against it. The parliamentarian stressed that they are anti-human and simply unreasonable.
