Members of the State Duma at a plenary session adopted a resolution on an appeal to the Government of the Russian Federation to take measures against Polish road carriers in connection with the anti-Russian policy of the Polish authorities.

“The Polish officials must answer for the demolition of monuments to our soldiers and officers, for the Russophobic policy, starting with explaining their actions to more than 20,000 drivers who, because of their actions, will lose their jobs, and about 2,000 Polish transport companies will become bankrupt,” he stressed.
The members of the State Duma recalled that on 29 April 2023, the school building which belonged to the Embassy of the Russian Federation was seized in Warsaw and the norms of international law were grossly violated.
“The members of the State Duma appeal to the Government of the Russian Federation and insist to take retaliatory measures against the Republic of Poland, reciprocal decision as the European Union adopted in the so-called fifth package of sanctions,” the document says.
Thus, according to the parliamentarians, it is necessary to eliminate opportunity for Polish road carriers to ride around the territory of the Russian Federation, “letting their vehicles move only from the state border of the Russian Federation to the nearest customs terminals to change trucks for trailers or semi-trailers or reload goods onto the Russian trucks”.
In addition, the State Duma proposed that the Government of the Russian Federation should deprive of access to “refuel vehicles of Polish road carriers at Russian retail prices, just by selling them fuel at the prices of the European Union.”
