The Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the eighth convocation. Elected in single mandate constituency № 163 (Saratov constituency - Saratov Oblast)
and members of the Russian parliamentary delegation arrived
in Mumbai.
The Chairman of the State Duma will meet with the authorities of the state of Maharashtra. Issues of the interregional cooperation between Russia and India and implementation of joint infrastructure projects will be discussed during the meeting.
Maharashtra is the second most populous and the third largest state in the country. Its capital is Mumbai (Bombay), the financial center of India. The state has six large industrial parks related to the IT industry.
